中川秀政

Following his father Nakagawa Kiyohide's death, he inherited the family headship from Tenshō 11 and succeeded to the administration of Ibaraki Castle and surrounding territories. Multiple surviving documents from Hideyoshi addressed to Hideyoshi contain evidence of his rule around Ibaraki Castle. Following the Settsu administrative reorganization in Tenshō 13, he was transferred to Miki in Harima Province and became lord of Miki Castle. He is said to have marched out for the Bunroku campaign and died of illness on the Korean peninsula, though the specific location of death, cause, and exact date remain unconfirmed in official records. Subsequently, his younger brother Hideari inherited the family headship and became the first daimyo of Oita domain in Bungo Province.
