Niwa Nagashige

Son of Niwa Nagahide. After his father's death, he succeeded to the house and was involved in the Oda-Toyotomi political situation after 1582. His transfers and treatment demonstrate how former powerful Oda retainers were incorporated into the Toyotomi regime. It is necessary to view his father and himself as separate individuals and to trace the changes in domain and position over time.
