Retainer of Hidenaga and First Daimyo of Yamato Shinjo
1524 – death year unknown
As a retainer of Toyotomi Hidenaga's, he became lord of Takeda Castle in Tajima Province, governing 10,000 koku until Tenshō 13. After the pacification of Kii Province, under Hidenaga's command he served as castellan of Wakayama Castle, managing the administration of Kii. Hidenaga's residence was Yamato Koriyama Castle, and Wakayama Castle was administered through the castellan within the retainer band structure. Following the successive deaths of Hidenaga and Hidesuke, Magoichiharu entered Shinjo in Tenshō 6 as the Yamato Shinjo daimyo and directed castle-town construction. Shigeharu himself is said to have retired and received stipend lands within Izumi Province, though details remain unconfirmed.
