武田信吉

Born as the fifth son of Tokugawa Ieyasu in Toyotomi Hideyoshi's final years. In November Keicho 7, following the Battle of Sekigahara, Ieyasu stationed his fifth son Nobuyoshi in Mito, Hitachi Province, granting him 150,000 koku to oversee the governance of northern Kantō. Nobuyoshi held the position of the first daimyo of the Mito domain, but in September Keicho 8 he died of illness. Subsequently, Ieyasu's tenth son Tokugawa Yorinobu inherited the 200,000 koku of Mito and became the ancestor of the Kii domain daimyo.
