   三村家親・毛利元就・尼子晴久・備中国人衆ほか

   諸勢力並立三村氏・毛利氏と尼子方・国人衆が交錯

2. 1560 –1565

   三村家親・庄高資・石川氏ほか

   諸勢力並立毛利方の三村家親が松山城を取り（1561年ごろ）、庄・石川ら国人を従えて備中を固めていった

3. 1566 –1574

   三村元親

   三村氏家親の暗殺（1566年）後、元親が継いだ。明善寺合戦（1567年）で宇喜多に敗れたが、毛利の後ろ盾で備中を保った

4. 1575

   毛利輝元・三村元親

   諸勢力並立元親は毛利が宇喜多直家を受け入れたことに反発して織田方へ転じ、備中兵乱で滅ぼされた（松山城落城・元親自害）

5. 1576 –1580

   毛利輝元

   毛利氏備中兵乱ののち、備中は毛利の直轄となった

9. Month 6Pinnacle of Siege Warfare

   Hideyoshi pressed the Tottori Castle through supply line starvation and Takamatsu Castle through a dike-based water attack. After the Honnōji Incident, he concluded peace with the Mōri and withdrew.

10. 6/23Shimizu Muneharu's Death and the Surrender of Takamatsu Castle

    Shimizu Muneharu took his own life, after which the Hashiba and Mōri sides concluded peace and Bitchū Takamatsu Castle surrendered.

11. 6/25The Chūgoku Great Return

    After making peace with the Mōri, Hashiba Hideyoshi's army hurried from Bitchū through Himeji Castle toward the Kinai to confront Akechi Mitsuhide.
