Son of Ikeda Tsuneoki
池田元助
birth year unknown – 1584
Son of Ikeda Tsuneoki who commanded troops and fought alongside his father. In the 1584 Komaki-Nagakute War, he advanced toward Okazaki alongside Mori Nagayoshi and died in battle with his father. The Okazaki invasion cannot be explained by a single person's proposal or mistake; it must be examined considering the actions of Hideyoshi, Tsuneoki, Motosuke, and Mori Nagayoshi along with Tokugawa's information and terrain. After the deaths of father and son, Ikeda Terumasa succeeded to the Ikeda house.
