   徳川家康・今川氏真

   諸勢力並立1568年12月に家康が遠江へ入り、掛川城の今川氏真を囲んだ。1569年5月の開城で戦国大名としての今川氏は終わった。武田方の秋山虎繁も1568年末に遠江へ入ったが、家康の抗議で信玄が呼び戻し、翌年正月に撤退している

   Month 10Takeda invasion of Totomi

   Takeda Shingen advanced into Totomi and placed strong pressure on Tokugawa castles. Anxiety spread within the Tokugawa camp, and the balance in Tokai became sharply more tense.

6. Month 12Battle for Futamata Castle

   Takeda forces captured Futamata Castle in Totomi, breaking through part of the Tokugawa defensive line. Ieyasu was driven into a situation where he had to endure from Hamamatsu and wait for a chance to counterattack.

   1/25Battle of Mikatagahara

   Takeda forces clashed with the Tokugawa-Oda allied army at Mikatagahara in Totomi, and Ieyasu suffered a devastating defeat. Takeda Shingen's military prestige was displayed to the whole country and gave the anti-Nobunaga side a major psychological boost.

    Matsudaira Nobuyasu Takes His Own Life at Futamata Castle

    Matsudaira Nobuyasu, Tokugawa Ieyasu's heir and lord based at Okazaki, took his own life at Futamata Castle. Contemporary sources do not establish a direct order from Nobunaga or collusion with the Takeda, making this a political crisis involving Tokugawa succession and the Oda alliance.

18. Month 5Asahi no Kata Marries Tokugawa Ieyasu

    Toyotomi Hideyoshi married his sister Asahi no Kata to Tokugawa Ieyasu, creating a marriage alliance between the Toyotomi and Tokugawa. He later sent their mother Ōmandokoro to Okazaki, reinforcing the negotiations that led to Ieyasu's submission with kinship and political guarantees.
