1500: Imperial Succession and the Revival of the Gion Festival Floats - Sengoku Shogun Map

Emperor Go-Tsuchimikado died and his son Go-Kashiwabara succeeded to the throne, although financial hardship delayed the formal enthronement ceremony until 1521. Meanwhile, Kyoto's townspeople revived the Gion Festival float processions after a 33-year interruption caused by the Ōnin-Bunmei War.
