1509: New Fronts Open in Sagami and Echigo - Sengoku Shogun Map
Around August, Ise Sōzui began invading the Sagami territory of his former ally Ōgigayatsu Uesugi Asayoshi, opening a new phase of eastward expansion in the province. In Echigo, Yamanouchi Uesugi Akisada attacked provincial lord Uesugi Sadazane and deputy Nagao Tamekage, captured Fuchū, and drove them into Ecchū.
