1530: The Birth of Nagao Kagetora (the Future Uesugi Kenshin) - Sengoku Shogun Map
The future "Dragon of Echigo," Kagetora, later known as Uesugi Kenshin, was born at Kasugayama Castle as the fourth son of Echigo deputy steward Nagao Tamekage, and given the childhood name Torachiyo. At the time his father Tamekage was still embroiled in conflicts with local lords within Echigo, and the unification of the province remained far from complete.
