1531: The Rout at Daimotsu—The End of Hosokawa Takakuni - Sengoku Shogun Map
The forces of Hosokawa Harumoto and Miyoshi Motonaga clashed in Settsu with those of Takakuni and Uragami Muramune. Takakuni's army collapsed, aided by the defection of its Akamatsu rear guard. Cornered, Takakuni fled to Amagasaki, where he was captured and forced to take his own life, bringing this phase of the long Hosokawa succession struggle to a close.
