1533: Hongan-ji Establishes Its New Base at the Ōsaka Gobō - Sengoku Shogun Map

The founder's image that had been carried out of Yamashina the previous year was enshrined at the Ōsaka gobō, making Ōsaka the Hongan-ji's new headquarters in both name and substance. Conflict with Hosokawa Harumoto continued, but this relocation marked the starting point of what would later become Ishiyama Hongan-ji, the stage for the great Ishiyama War decades later.
