1541: Takeda Harunobu Exiles His Father Nobutora and Seizes the Headship - Sengoku Shogun Map
While Takeda Nobutora, returning from a campaign in Shinano, visited his son-in-law Imagawa Yoshimoto, his heir Harunobu (the future Shingen), backed by senior retainers including Itagaki Nobukata, sealed the border between Kai and Suruga and effectively exiled Nobutora to Suruga. Amid growing resentment among retainers exhausted by Nobutora's repeated campaigns, Harunobu inherited the Takeda headship and the stewardship of Kai.
