1584: The Battle of Komaki-Nagakute - Sengoku Shogun Map
Oda Nobukatsu, whose relations with Hideyoshi had deteriorated, allied with Tokugawa Ieyasu and raised arms, and the two sides faced off in Owari. In localized fighting at Nagakute, Ieyasu's forces gained the upper hand, killing prominent Hideyoshi commanders Mori Nagayoshi and Ikeda Tsuneoki, but when Nobukatsu made a separate peace with Hideyoshi in November, Ieyasu withdrew as well, leaving the conflict without a clear resolution.

- 1584-03: Komaki-Nagakute Campaign Begins — Hashiba Hideyoshi's army and the allied forces of Tokugawa Ieyasu and Oda Nobukatsu confronted one another mainly in Owari Province, beginning a campaign that lasted about eight months.
- 1584-03-17: Battle of Haguro — Tokugawa commanders including Sakai Tadatsugu defeated Mori Nagayoshi's force after it advanced to Haguro.
- 1584-04-09: Battle of Nagakute — Tokugawa Ieyasu's army defeated a detached Hashiba force at Nagakute, where Ikeda Tsuneoki and Mori Nagayoshi were killed.
- 1584-11: Peace between Oda Nobukatsu and Hashiba Hideyoshi — Oda Nobukatsu and Hashiba Hideyoshi made a separate peace while confronting one another near Nagashima. Tokugawa Ieyasu then withdrew, ending the Komaki-Nagakute campaign.
