武蔵国

In the early Sengoku period, Musashi was fragmented among competing powers including the Yamanouchi-Uesugi, Ōgigayatsu-Uesugi, and Koga kubō factions. The Later Hōjō clan gained supremacy following the Battle of Kawagoe in 1546 and controlled most of Musashi until their collapse at the Siege of Odawara in 1590. After the Hōjō clan's fall, the province became Tokugawa Ieyasu's domain, with Edo as its base and center of Kantō rule.
